Grace Lutheran Church is a 78 year-old parish located in Wenatchee, Washington. Congregational membership is increasingly multi-ethnic and distribution of member ages is representative of the general population.
Grace is a church of Word and Sacrament. We are a congregation of strong Lutheran confessional identity. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated each Sunday. The weekly litugy rotates services which include Lutheran Book of Worship and Evangelical Lutheran Worship, With One Voice, Now The Feast and Celebration, and our own cut-and-paste Global Liturgy. We have several vocal and bell choirs for every age and ability.
Grace is a teaching church. We offer learning opportunities for all age groups. Wednesday evenings there is an Adult Book Discussion group. Confirmation classes are held on Sunday mornings with small group meetings throughout the week.
Grace is committed to righteousness and justice; to faith active in love. We actively support and provide programmatic space for Habitat for Humanity. Members give financial support and volunteer service hours to a number of social service agencies and programs serving the Wenatchee valley.
Wenatchee is a city of about 50,000 nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range on the banks of the Columbia River in central Washington State. Agriculture and energy production are two large industries. We enjoy four distinct seasonal changes and average 9′ of precipitation per year. An hour drive to either of two major mountain passes brings as much snow for winter sports as you will find anywhere in the country. Hiking, skiing, biking, golf, and fishing abound. Drive an easy three hours and you are in Seattle or Spokane.
