Jeremiah Selvey, Minister of Music
jselvey@nwi.net
As the new
Minister of Music, Jeremy seeks to bring his expertise as a
conductor and singer, as well as his love for God and people, into
the harmonious community of faith that is Grace Lutheran Church. Mr.
Selvey’s strong teaching skills in both a choral and private voice
setting have prepared the way for his success in both church and
academic settings. Before arriving in Wenatchee, these successes
included directing the Women’s Concert Choir and Bell Ensemble of
Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois and the Emory Women’s
Chorale and Mastersingers of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
The musical quirkiness of Jeremy most comes out when he is
encountered playing in or directing a handbell choir. When not
playing handbells, singing, conducting, or teaching, you will
probably find Jeremy composing or playing the piano, dialoguing with
friends and family, or reading a stimulating book.
Judy Olson, Organist
glc@nwi.net
Judy has
served as Grace’s organist since 1993. When she isn’t visiting her
beautiful grandchildren, this active lady is likely to be found
cross-country skiing, hiking, or rock climbing with her husband
Monte. As an organist, Judy has presented solo performances for our
Friday Night Out concert series and she regularly performs for the
Lake Chelan Bach Fest. Judy also sings soprano with Wenatchee’s
Columbia Chorale.
The Arts Team
This team
serves to vision for, create, and lead the artistic programming at
Grace. The Arts team hosts the Friday Night Out concert series as
well as other visual and performing artists throughout the year.
